Another great stay at Monarque hotel
This is the second time that we visit Monarque hotel and we are delighted with our stay. Everything was as expected, we got 2 rooms next to each other as requested and were moved to an upper and quieter floor on the 2nd day which was excellent. Although having 3 beds in our room as travelling with children, there was still space to move around and the staff was wonderful accommodating our request. There is a language barrier since we did not speak Spanish but the personnel was really helpful and everything was arranged with an ease. Excellent cuisine and service at the restaurant. Definitely value for money. Would come again.
Accommodate place for bigger families - maybe connect 2 rooms and make them an apartment or separate a wing in the hotel for families only. We were a family of 4 and had to book 2 rooms which was not a problem as brought grandparents along so filled in to full capacity. The water in the indoor pool was colder than the previous time although the surrounding area was warm. Maybe increasing the temperature of the indoor pool would help feeling more comfortable next time.

I loved that I was actually booked into the Fuengirola Park hotel which shares a garden/pool/spa/internal pool and restaurant with The Cendrillon The FP has larger bedrooms
The fact that I arrived to a hotel locked up with a chain and padlock I was not notified that my venue had changed and as my arrival was after 10pm it could have been very scary for an inexperienced traveller. I just asked at FP reception for advice and they said so was booked with them

Another great stay at Fuengirola
The hotel is 3 stars but shares facilities with a 4 stars hotel and has outdoor and indoor swimming pool, spa (paid and used by booking only but the indoor swimming pool is free for hotel guests). The restaurant was excellent - plenty of food, variety of meals, freshly baked bread every day, swift and friendly service and nice atmosphere.
The spa was paid and it was timed if you want to use the sauna, jacuzzi. The drinks in the restaurant were extra although I had full board but this is normal.
